Have you ever considered fostering?

How about puppy raising? Our Dawgs at Work Service, Therapy, Companion and ESA’s are all raised in loving homes and not the kenneling facility. We feel this is an important part of our program as it allows our dogs to better adapt and learn how to be the best working dogs!

Change a Life Without a Lifetime Commitment

Our foster program offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a dog while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they will one day serve. Most foster dogs enter the program as puppies and come directly from our Puppy Bootcamp, providing them with a strong training foundation before joining their foster family.

Dawgs at Work provides all basic supplies, veterinary care, and ongoing support throughout the fostering journey. Foster families participate in weekly training sessions with our certified training team and are responsible for maintaining daily training, socialization, and regular communication with program staff. Foster placements require a minimum commitment of 30 weeks to ensure each dog receives the consistency and development needed to succeed.

As a foster family, you’ll play an essential role in preparing a dog for placement as a companion dog, Emotional Support Dog, Therapy Dog, Ministry Dog, or Psychiatric Service Dog. While saying goodbye can be bittersweet, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to watch a dog grow, learn, and ultimately change someone’s life.
